A new look for AvirtualExit.com

Hope you are having fun wherever you are. I am happy to announce that this web site has undergone a tremendous face lift. Here is what we have:
1. New theme: i implemented the well known Misty Look instead of Vertigo.
2. Made a major Sidebar change. Actually i deactivated SideBar Widgets plugin, and modified my SiderBar using PHP.
3. Implemented 4 new great wordpress plugins that are meant to enhance the reader’s experience:
- Enhanced WP Contact form – So you can contact me in case you have a comment, want to have a review or link exchange.
- Most Viewed Posts – I like this one. It will let everyone know what posts you are interested in , so i can write more on those topics.
- WP Post Rating – This one will allow you to rate each and every single post.
- Show Top Commentators – This plugin was the one i wanted to implement the most. It’ll display “real” links (without the ‘nofollow’ property) to the 10 top commentators blogs or web sites. Thanks guys for your feedbacks!

Looking good! I like the rating system, the bullets in the posts, and the color for the links a lot. The Top Commentators is cool too.
About the only thing I change in the css is that upper-case attribute, or is that capitalize? That is a personl pet peeve of mine, I guess it has something to do with all caps refering to yelling.

Looks great, a lot easier to read and get around. I think the top commentators is a great idea so people have a reason to come back and post:)

P.S. There’s a function in the show_top_commentators.php file to remove yourself from the list
“These are located near the top of the file and should be editable from your WordPress control panel (’Plugins’ -> ‘Plugin Editor’). (Note: You will not be able to edit these options unless you earlier chmod’d show_top_commentators.php to 777″
“filter_users (comma seperated list of usernames)
This will filter out any usernames you don’t want shown. A good example is ‘Administrator’.”

Looks awesome. However, there some points you need to improve. The title of single posts seems to be unoptimized for SEO, you could improve it by just using the post title as the title for single posts.
The overall theme is good, simple and plain. Its really readable now. The social bookmarking icons are a necessity today, however, you could make it look lot cleaner by using ‘Share This’ Plugin by Alex King
Looks nice. I run a few sites with Misty as well…. Well, that is before I tore it apart but still, it’s a nice foundation!
