Here’s another cool WIN XP hack. Did you ever have a situation in which a program that you uninstalled from your PC still sends you annoying messages (that you can’t get rid of) when starting up Windows? I encounter such a bummer quite often….
Here is the solution. Notes that it involves modifying the registry, so make sure you backup your registry before implementing the specified below.
1. Go to Start>>Run >> Regedit. This will open the Registry Editor.
2. Expand the Registry Editor tree and find the node HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows.
3. Goto Edit>>New>> Dword Value named NoPopupsOnBoot and give it the value of 1. Click on OK.
4. Close the Registry Editor and reboot your computer.
5. To disable this hack, either delete the NoPopupsOnBoot key or set its value to 0.
Enjoy!

Nice. I dont get many popups on boot but this will be good if I come across any annoying errors like this.
Cheers
