A quick tip to speed up Internet Explorer startup

This is a cool trick that will considerably speed up your Internet Explorer browser startup.
The gist of it is to start IE without loading the home page. This will improve the startup time by more than 50%.

Here’s how you do it:

1. Right click your Internet Explorer shortcut and Click Properties.
2. Go to the Shortcut tab.
3. In the target row add the suffix -nohome, so for example it will read: “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” -nohome
4. Click Apply.
5. Restart IE.

IE will load much faster now. In case you would like to open your Home page just click on the Home button.
