How to easily hide the Recycle Bin icon ?

A few days ago, a friend of mine asked me how she can hide the recycle bin icon in her Windows XP desktop (Right Click || Delete doesn’t exist).
There are two main ways to accomplishing that (the third is a registry hack i won’t be elaborating on today):

a. The “hack”: See Annoyances.org . As i didn’t write that code i can’t recommend it. Please remember that you better back up your registry before running any code that modifies it!

b. The sophisticated way (recommended if you are not a certified Registry hacker :

Download and install an extra cool Microsoft utility named TweakUI. TweakUI is a powerful admin tool that helps you easily tweak your Winddows XP user interface – more on that in future posts.
Open TweakUI and from the left bar pane click Desktop
Uncheck Recycle Bin
Click on Apply
