How to display the Run Command in Windows Vista ?

Among the first things that relatively advanced Windows users will note while getting started with Vista, is that for some reason, the Run command doesn’t show up by default in the new Vista Start menu.
Although you can use the powerful Start Search in order to easily find and run GUI based programs (for example the Control Panel (appwiz.cpl), the Windows Services Panel (services.msc) and many others) , I found it impractical for launching command line utilities. That’s why we need our beloved Run command.
There are two quick options that we can implement in order to display the Run command in our Start Menu:
Option 1:
- Right click the Start button, Click Properties.
- Make sure that the Start Menu option is checked, and click Customize.
- Check the Run Command box
- Click OK
This will make the Run command appear in the new Vista Start menu
Option 2:
- Right click the Start button, Click Properties.
- Check the Classic Start Menu box
This will replace the Vista Start Menu with the Classic Windows menu that includes the Run command.
