Wandering around some webmaster forums, I see a lot of people asking on Google PageRank and when it’s going to be updated in the Google Toolbar.
In case have a site and you don’t know what’s the PageRank I suggest you read this PageRank primer I posted here in the past.
Now the million dollar question 
, when the PageRank gets updated?
Well, the answer is that it’s being updated all the time. The thing is that Google visualizes the PR of every page in the Google toolbar only after a TBPR (Toolbar PageRank) Export, which occurs only once a quarter.
FYI, Last TPBR export started on April 25th (and the one before started on January, 18th), so we are expecting the next TBPR by end of July 2007.
What you can do in the meantime in order to increase your PageRank?
- Make sure your web site is indexed by the main search engines. If not, make sure you re-submit your web site.
- Create quality content on a daily basis (I would say, 4-5 new pages every week).
- Exchange links with relevant sites. Preferably, try to get linked by higher PR web sites (tip: Offer them to review their web site/blog for a link). Stay away from “bad” neighborhoods - Gambling, Porn and so forth.
- If you are a blogger, give “link love”. Link to higher PR blogs in your posts. This will get you noticed, and hopefully they’ll link back.
- Post in webmasters forums. Make sure you include a link with your website keyword as the anchor text in your forum signature. The keyword of this blog is Web 2.0, so my signature link will be: Web 2.0. Tip: as forums are crawled by search engines on a frequent basis, this will also spped up you listing in their index.

Gaming sites are not bad neighborhoods at all….I think you mean “Gambling” sites…. those one really are bad….but it is very different from Gaming.

Hi I was wondering if anyone can give a reply to me about my website on what they think my page rank could be by july righ now it is nothing because it has only been up for 2 months. I am adding products slowly also so my content is always active I add about 200 products + daily.
Also does having my address http://orgazmictoyscom hurt anything by not have www, because something messes up when I try to do a 301 redirect to http://www.orgazmictoys.com However I hae submitted all of my infomation to google as http://orgazmictoys.com and they have so far indexed 159 of my pages.
My one problem i am having is they aren’t finding any of my links at the bottom of my page leading to other sites or my link page for that matter, but yahoo has found 3. That is weird that yahoo finds them and not google. I have about 20 sites that I am reciprocal linked to 2 pr6 and many 5 and rest 2 and up.
Any feed back is welcome good or bad I am new at this and have been trying daily very very hard.
I had also heard that the PR update would be by the end of June. So, i guess I have to do some additional link building before then..

Yes It is a million doller question that how many days google take in updation of the Page rank of any website, It basically depents upon the google PR updation software, genarally it takes 3 months for new page rank update. I have noticed the continous update of google PR on google tool bar.
The Next Google Page Rank Update may be with in 22 july to 28 july, 2007. If No page rank information available in the Google Toolbar means that it is updating its toolbar software or making changes in the PR page rank of the website. No doubt that google is the most searchable search engine in ecommerce world and it also maintains secrecy in its work area.
As we know that the last two PR updates took place on 25 Jan, 07 and 28 april, 2007 respectively. and it is assumed that next PR update will happen in last week of july, 2007. Nice read… I think you right on the money with most of these tips. One suggestion to your readers… Not every blog and forum you post on will produce a back link for your site. Some use ‘nofollow’.

Ian - i am not aware of a local page rank prediction tool. Iwebtool PageRank prediction is ok, but not 100% accurate. Digital Point forums feature a ranking checker, but i think it works for Google.com not the local domains.
so, there is such a thing as a ‘local’ pagerank? If so, presumably i need to make links with Indonesian companies to improve my google.co.id rank?
I might be wrong, but i don’t think that there is a local pagerank, but every different country Google site shows a snapshot of the Google Index. I suggest that you open this issue as a question in the Digital Point forum, they might provide with a definitive answer. In any case developing links with high PR sites which are from your niche and country (and doesn’t have loads of outgoing links) will definitely help to improve your ranking.

I have a question. My site is new it hasn’t seen the first pagerank update yet. The question is..When the update does happen, will Google credit me with links I have with them and other search engines? Will it place me higher in the Serps? At the moment I have 750 links hand submitted and about 10000 references for my site name. Is this a good start? Like I mentiond my site is about a month old. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you.
This really is a great site for PR info. From what I’ve gathered on other sites, the third week of July is the predicted update.
I noticed one of the sites I monitor has gone up one point today.. I monitor about 60 sites, is the first of this PR update?
When I want to revisit a blog and they don’t offer email subscription then I favorite them on Technorati which makes it easier to scan through the latest headlines AND it helps the bloggers with higher Techorati rankings.

I launched my site in april and am hoping for a pagerank of 3-4. 4 would make me very happy. A 3 would make me satisfied. A 2 would be disappointing, but whatever.
Anything less and I’m not happy.
I have over 300 articles and have EARNED some backlinks the old school way….without spending any money.
Still, if Google really craves content over all else, my site should do well. Keeping my fingers crossed. If I get screwed I’m launching a personal campaign against google.

SEO Frds, As I have already told that the Next PR update was in last week of july, 2007 but this time google make it on 6th august, 2007. so its a good policy of google to rotate its PR algorithm circular system.
So Can we expect new PR update in month of November, And if we want to be updated with google policies, so check google’s webmaster central blogs.

Did anyone notice a PR update on 6th August 2007? I didn’t, and have been waiting for a PR update since the early months of this year.
I read somewhere else that this is the longest interval ever for a time between google updates. Not sure what that means, but it might mean something big..
