Mizpee – your cellular helps you find the nearest toilet :)

Are you familiar with those situations in which while touring a big city you suddenly need to pee but don’t exactly know where? :)

Mizpee is the answer! MizPee is a cellular based service that  finds the closest, cleanest toilet and gives you entertaining reading material once you get there. Currently the service seems to be available only in the USA, but i would think they should expand their reach also to Europe and Asia Pacific.

I think the service is great as it really answers a common need  people who are in the midst of an unknown location have. Not only Mizpee provides you the location of the closest toilets, but also rates their cleanliness. Wish it was available while i toured NYC and desperatly looked for a public WC ! :)

Take my word for this. It will not come to Asia. Ohh. Sorry. India. NEVER. Why ? Because there aren’t public toilets in India or rather no clean public toilets in India. lol

  4. I agree with Sreejith! clean public toilets in India, lolz

  5. Haha.. I agree with the others over here. Think it’s impossible in India. ;)

In India GPS is still to penetrate..and i think this service works on GPS .
    great service /..D”

  7. Gili says:

Shashank, the service is not GPS based. The user actually needs to input its city and address and then get back the toilet list :)
I am seriously thinking about developing a similar application :)

  8. Sreejith says:

Hey, no way. No toilets in India. Its more practical to show users to barren fields or road-sides where Indians pee the most. ;)

  9. Vijay says:

Sreejith, you did miss out the transformers and light poles as well ;) What can one do to find a toilet if they are lost and don’t know where they are?

That’s awesome. I already have google maps on my phone, this just completes it :)

Toilet tip~ Most hotels offer public restrooms because they get a tax break for it. So when you got to go look for a Hilton or something.
