Few days ago, Skype announced the launch of their 3.5 version. My understanding is that they have fixed some bugs and included two nice-to-have features:
1. Video Snapshots – this version allows you to take snapshots of video conferences you do, so if you spot something funny, you can just snapshot it and save it for further reference.
2. Video sharing – you can now share videos while chatting.
As version 3.5 is still in beta it is obviously not 100% bug free, but if you are all for early adoption of Skype’s new features, then you might want to download and install the new version.
I personally agree with some of the comments made by people over at the Skype blog, and think that although the addition of new features is usually welcome, it looks like Skype should allow users to customize their installation, so users that will opt to use only the audio chat functionality won’t be obliged to installed the full blown package (currently 24 MB – and keep growing every version).
