One of the useful things that you can do in MySpace is to post on comments over at your network peers’ profiles. If you are the creative type, you can even embed pictures in those comments. This is not to difficult to do, however it requires you to know a bit of HTML.
Here’s a quick tutorial that can help you to put a picture in a MySpace comment:
- First you need to find the picture you would like to embed in the comment. I strongly recommend that you mind copyrights.
- In order to be able to embed a picture in a MySpace comment, you should first upload the image (in JPG, GIF or PNG format) to an Image Hosting service or directly to MySpace. I recommend that you use FlickR or Photobucket as your image hosting services. Both are reliable and easy to use.
- Now, you need to locate the URL of the image you uploaded. You can do it by right clicking the image you uploaded and then click Copy Link Location (in Mozilla Firefox) or by right clicking the image you uploaded and then click Copy Shortcut (in Internet Explorer) The URL depends on the Image hosting you have chosen. Copy (CTRL + C) the image URL to the clipboard.
- Navigate to your buddy’s profile and click Add Comment.
- Now comes the difficult part. On the comment body, type <img src=”your_image_url”>. Note that <your_image_url> is the uploaded image URL you found in step 3. For example:
- Click Post a Comment.
- In the Confirm Comment page, hit Confirm or Edit if you want to modify your comment.
- Voila, the image will show in your MySpace comment.
