Medal of Honor Airborne demo supported video cards
Gili | Aug 27, 2007 | Comments 48
The much anticipated EA Medal of Honor (MHO) Airborne Demo is by all means very impressive, however for some gamers (specially the non- experienced) it turned to be a source of disappointment.
Apparently, gamers who downloaded the MHO demo, failed to notice the fact that the game requires a video card that supports DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0. After downloading (1.34 GB) and installing the software, MHO won’t run and will throw a ”The video card you are running is not supported” error message.
A reader asked me whether there is a workaround for this issue. Unfortunately there is NOT (unless EA will release a patch that will allow other video cards). On a personal note, I believe that EA’s decision to support a limited spectrum of video cards might prove as an erroneous move, as non-experienced gamers might give up MHO due to hardware limitations.
As a service for my readers i would like to provide a list of the video cards currently supported by the MHO Airborne demo software. Please make sure that your video card is supported up front:
DirectX 9.0c, NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT, ATI Radeon
X1300 Pro, or better with Shader 3.0 support for Windows XP or
Vista (Note: NVIDIA 6800XT, 6800LE, 7100GS, 7200GS, 7200LE,
7300GS, 7300GT cards not supported).
Enjoy MHO!

i meet the requirements why cant i just “plug’n;play”! windows pisses me off and EA pisses me off with all their…. crap. ive been using Apple computers for sixteen years now and NEVER had any problems with it, no drivers to download, no “select video cards”. New hardware works by taking it out of the box and plugging it in! wow! simple! imagine a computer that never gives you shit, and always works, like a Volvo… that looks like a Bentley
Thanks for the update.
supporting older shader models is not a big deal – as demonstrated by the shader mods for BioShock, the first version of which took less than a day to produce.
EA et al: gameplay is far more important than the latest whiz-bang reflection models. Every marketer and politician knows that for each person that writes a letter or signs a petition, there are 9 – or sometimes 99 – more who feel the same way but didn’t bother. So if 5000 people sign a petition asking for a compatability patch, you are ignoring potentially several million dollars in lost sales.
don’t be lazy, and don’t be a shader snob – make more money instead!
I am pissed. This is insane, why would a company try this hard from preventing customers from playing its game? They really need to come up with a patch or I will wait for Crysis and then stop playing games all together. There are other things I would rather spend my money on than a new video card for every game I buy! EA YOU SUCK!!!!
Why the hell 6600GT is supported and 7300GT is not ? 7300GT is much more powerfull, much more overclockable, twice performance over 6600GT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[...] in Conflict won’t require a too sophisticated video card, but given the recently published Medal of Honor Airborne System Requirements, that pissed off quite a few, i would recommend to double test your system requirements for World [...]
Hey guys. as u can read in the readme, there is a selection with grapic cards, so yes, u can play on ANY card that supports DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0, and yes, u can’t play ANY card that doesn’t support it. Simple.
But for God’s sake, is there any announcement available or will be available at all by EA for an upcoming Patch to solve this “issue”? I dont care if I can’t see all of the billions of poligons and shaders, polished, mirroring street cobbles, I just want to play this game for its (hopefully) amusing feeling. Just like the old school MOHAA. There wasn’t any kind of modern graphics in its own time but after all, there wasn’t any FPS since MOHAA with the same feeling and atmosphere.
A shame but EA is a Profit-oriented firm with short terms but large advertisement campaigns. The result is a fast-developed, undertested, undersupported BUT overadvertised shoddy that can’t stad between the word: quality … – for many years
Theres gotta be a bypass somehow..anyway everyone should just go back to playing MOHAA online.
wats the big deal … i had to live with the “direct x 9.0 suported graphics card” comment with pacific assult so why are you making a fuss about i now…bassicly just spend 15quid on a cheap card tht suports it and ull have a new graphics car SIMPLE
I was wondering why the 6800 Ultra doesn’t work either, it has Shader Model 3.0 with Pixel Shader 3.0 and Vertex Shader 3.0 – but MOH Airborne just won’t have it. I’m using a laptop and can’t be arsed to shell out for a new one just to play this. I’ve sent it back to play.com – their minimum spec is an 8xDVD drive!
i have x740xl but it doesn’t work …EA mothafuckes
ps:i din’t buy the game so… but still fuck them, with them geova’s testimones methods to do !!
You know MOH has got to be one of my all time favourite and I have been waiting for the follow up for a long time. You rush out to buy a copy and what do you fine EA has said thank you for spending your hard earned money and making us rich, but I have incorporated bullshit into our new game and you have to spend more money on a new VGA card so you can play it.
I tell you something if they bring out another game I am not going to be buying it until they have a working copy or patch for all VGA cards.
EA sort out your shit!!!
You guy make me laugh, 660gt and 7300 etc are old cards now, they simply wont run newer games its as simple as that.
You also blame EA for it, and yes i know they have alot of bad issues but they are only a name to distribute game, they themselfes dont actually make any games, blame the ones who develop the games before getting into a face off with them.!!
Is this a patch available yet for MOH Airborne that allows more video cards? If there isnt yet, does anyone have an idea when there will be?
Cheers,
=|*KiLL|= Blackstorm
guys only i can tell you that MOHA nice work on GE Force 6200 and UP series!!!! Trust me!!!!!
Cool game and graphix! On my 8800ultra it’s flying
EA needs to get their shit together if they want to keep my business. I’ve been a huge fan of the Medal of Honor series, purchased all of the titles the day they came out, but now I’m extremelly disappointed. My computer is by no means impressive, but if I can play Halo 2 and Bioshock on it, there is no f**ing reason why I should need a new, expensive video card to play MOH-Airborne. I’m boycotting ALL of EA software until they come out with a patch to fix this problem.
I just bought MOH Airbororne for my sons birthday. Put it on his new laptop and all it says is Something about the video card not being supported. His lap top is only 4 weeks old and running on Vista.
Please can anybody help us..
when come in mohaa need 32 mb accelerator, everyone in
now, shader or vertex3, no everyone have this things, everyone have a 7100 or 7300
it’s true, need more hard for new games, but not so much please, this is exesive
sorry my english
I have worked out how to get around the video card protection. Works for any video card.
(1) Download 3D-Analyze v2.36b (Google it!)
(2) In 3d-analyze, find the ‘moha_setup.exe’ by pressing the ‘SELECT’ button. (i’m assuming you know where the file is located in the binary folder)
(3) Change the VendorID to 10DE and DeviceID to 0191.
(4) Select ‘RUN’ and the setup program will run with no video card warning.
(5) Put in your settings (lowest settings to start with)
(6) Hit play and the setup will exit with an error. This is ok.
(7) Now repeat steps 2 – 4 but change the ‘SELECT’ option to ‘MOHADemo.exe’
(8) Press ‘RUN’
Thats it. Game is now running. Enjoy
This software will also create batch files you can use to run the game without having to do this setup every time.
VendorID and DeviceID are from an NVidia 8800GTX which IS on the compatible list.
BTW – Thank-you EA for NOTHING!
Sorry maverick if i’m being thick but i can not get 3D-Analyze to let me type letters into the VendorID Slot thus can not put the full ID in?
Please advise
Thanks

Hi!
I have the nVidia GeForce 6200, it has compatibility with DirectX9.0 and Shader 3.0, but when i run the game it sends me the video card error message… I suppose to have the mininum requirements to play the game, right? Does the game has any configuration menu when i can resolve this problem?
I would thank a lot any help to my mail: cesaro_@hotmail.com
Hi again!
Maverick, i tried the 3d Analyze on my PC, and it starts the game, but after the “Medal Of Honor intro banner” sends me again the “non supported video card message”. May be I need a different configuration on 3D Analyze, right? My video card is GForce 6200… I would thank any help. My mail is: cesaro_4815162342@hotmail.com
thx to maveric
tried for radeon9800pro unfortunately not worked ,pixel&vertex shaders are 2,0 , game requried 3,0
i wonder if this is the only problem and if it will be able to solve via 3d analyzer
thx
Hi,
Maverick i have tried to use the 3d Analyze, but it just doesnt seem to work. I did exactly what you said, and when I go to run mohpa.exe, it does something for about a minute, then comes up with a “your video card is not supported.” Any ideas? I have a GeForce 6200 video card….

hi everybody
I have the same video card as CeSaRo, [ nVidia GeForce 6200, it has compatibility with DirectX9.0 and Shader 3.0 ] n I got that error too.
so Maverick or CeSaRo, anyone of you have found the solution ?
thanx !
I have an Nvidia 6200 LE and I don’t think my card sux… I think the programmers sux… long live MOH:AA screw this game… but I would like to try the sniper rifle for just once
hehehe… who knows… I can’t afford a new computer
Hi Nachi
I havent found a solution to our problem except buy a new videocard. Kuz a guess EAGames has a kind of agreement with the videocards producers to not let us play the game with some videocards, including our model. Because the videocard does support all the requirements of the game…
I read in a forum that someone use a patch to “convert” his nVidia into ATI, so I guess there’s must be a similirar patch to hack the graphics test of the game. If anyone knows anything like that… please let us know.
Greetings to all. We’re in touch…
sorry the english
I am definitely not a techie, so please excuse me if this is a stupid question, mates.
MOHAA installed no worries, and the intro runs fine – altho a bit jerky. But when I try to begin the game, my computer restarts. I’ve tried adjusting the settings – no go.
Restarts every time. Is this indicative of an unsupported video card or something else?
Thanks for any info you can provide, mates.
I’m using geforce 6200 and it also dont work!
Pls someone help me! T_T
Crach at launching moha (using 3D analizer or not), video cark error messenge.

I did a search on my ATI x850xt card support for this game. Like many who owns this card, I am disappointed. However, I got COD4 demo running quite smoothly on this so called “dated” card. I bought the game subsequently. Whatever motive behind EA to abandon support on these older card was really STUPID. COD is always the more popular game compare to MOH. Why EA would shoot themselves on their feet is beyond me. To compete with COD, you need greater support and wider audiences not less. Sure enough, I see MOHA price dropped quite a bit lately yet COD4 stay in the original retail price. I have no desire to upgrade a perfectly good card. Beside MOHA is nothing new. Remember “No one lives forever 2?” That was a great shooter. Ever since MOHPA, the line has gone down hill. Maybe WW2 shooters are done for…and that’s why even COD also moved on…so did I
I BOUGHT THE ENTIRE GAME…I couldn’t find the requirements on the outside box and i wasn’t going to open it in the middle of WalMart to look.
Ok, so all i want to know, is if there is ANY way to bypass it through hacking, editing, or anything else. I have a radeon x600 video card plus DirectX9 or something higher. I would completely DESTROY this computer to get the game to work, but i’m not buying another memory card just for this. Isn’t there anyone out there that can make the game think that i have a compatible memory card? I’ve been looking and editing the files with CommandPrompt but couldn’t find anything involving memory cards. Maybe there’s a way to bypass the initial startup and system check?
In other news, The only thing i don’t like about MOH:AA is that there are NO people online…maybe some of us who have this could get together there who have it and kill each other? Just a thought…Response would be nice for my above question.
i have on board NVIDIA GEFORCE 6100 (memory 128 mb) with Shader 3.0, why can’t i play this game. need some help.
i bought medal of honor airborne and everything works fine until i put my key code. After i put my key code it says: Error 1935 anybody knows what’s that?
IS direct X 10 supported by Medal of honour airborne
Video card not supported thats what i am geting… i don’t know how to check video card!!!!!
EA sucks!! i too wanted to pay MOHA..bt it says card nt supported!!…i hav an 7300GT n 2gb of ram…god help EA..
i need help to play airborne
Error message: “The video card you are running is not supported.” Well I’m glad to see it’s not just my computer that is getting this message. Or maybe, “glad” is not the right word, “sad’ would be more appropriate. My XP is able to run COD4 just fine, so I bought the damn MOHA game from e-bay. Frustrated, I cleared almost everything from my XP to gain more memory (I know I’ll be sorry later for doing that). Of course it didn’t work. So I decided to upgrade my video card, I’m ignorant about computers so I have no idea what video card I’m running. But after reading all these messages on all the different forums, I have come to the conclusion that MOHA is just plain “no good.” And buying another video card just to play their damn game . . . no way. I will never buy another EA game again. You guys have saved me from buying an upgrade that sounds like would be throwing an endless amount of good money after bad.

Regarding 3d analyze and MOH Airborne – thanks to this page I was able to look in the right direction, my video card didn’t support it. I got – “Video card not supported” error message when trying to run it! (Trying to run it on a Vista SP1 Laptop with an Intel 965 Video Card)
I managed to successfully get it running with these settings. Download and open 3D Analyze first(http://www.tommti-systems.de/go.html?http://www.tommti-systems.com/main-Dateien/files.html)- get it here. Set the following
Vendor ID – 1002
Device ID – 7142
Under Performance – tick – force SW Tnl
Under Hardware Links – tick – emulate HW TnL caps
To stop video stutter
Under Remove Stuttering (where else!)
tick Quality Mode
If anyone is having the “Wrong Disc Inserted. Insert the right Disc” message then you can get a workaround here
http://www.gameburnworld.com/gp/gamefixes/medalofhonorairborne.shtml
I took the first one, as I don’t have any patches yet.
These steps took me while to write, but its worth it, as when you find a fix its nice to know that someone has been through the pain and found time to post their solution.
Happy gaming! If it works for you post too!
You EA guys messed up with this video card thing.. i know a few people who were gonna buy this game and aint gonna coz all of our laptops are crappy, but they play old version of MOH but not this one.. i bet theres a lot of people out there with that kinda problem.. shame EA, thats lost money 4 u!! Im getting Call of Duty… and possibly an apple computer!
If you use Radeon 9800 PRO, 3d analyzer can’t help you…
EA sucks…
I have dual core, 2 gb RAM & XFX Nvidia Geforce 8400SE 512MB still i could’t play Medal of honor airborne when i try to play it it will get slow even i can’t move my mouse cursor. why it is?

Just like all you guys out there, i’m a Medal Of Honor Fan until this beauty of a game came along.WE NEED A PATCH. Brand new $1000.00 lap top and card not compatable.A $100.00 additional card is not worth a $10.00 game!!!!!!!!!!!Yea you heard right. The game has gone down to only $10.00 because most people can’t play it.The only thing its good for now is target practice.
