Konami publishes Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 system requirements

PES (Pro Evo soccer) 2008 system requirements
Konami announced the recommended system specifications for running Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 7 (2008) on PC.
Here they are:
- Windows XP
- Pentium 4 3.0GHz /AMD Athlon 64 or better
- 1GB RAM
- 6.5GB free memory
- 8x DVD-ROM drive
- DirectX 9.0c video card
- 256MB Pixel Shader 3.0 (ATI x1600 / NVidia 6800 GT/GS or better)
- DirectX 9.0c Soundcard
- DirectX 9.0c or higher
- Windows USB Gamepad
- 1280 x 720 resolution
- Supported Chipsets:
NVIDIA – GeForce 6600, 6800, 7300, 7600, 7800, 7900, GeForce FX (5950, 5900, 5800, 5600, 5200), GeForce4 Ti, GeForce3
These system requirements remind me those provided by EA for Medal of Honor Airborne, and they seem like an overkill for a game like PES. Other concern is about the ability of having PES running on Vista. I hope that Konami aren’t too serious about those system requirements, and that gamers will be able run PES 2008 on a normal PC..

That would ensure that my PC is obsolete for this game atleast.. The requirements are really going overboard by the day!
Couldn’t agree more… but i am sure that PES 7 (2008) will run on much weaker PC configurations.
I hope they release the demo soon .

well i believe both football and cricket has made a huge impression in gaming world in terms of both played in PC or other gaming devices like xbox, play station, etc.
but i am totally shocked and disappointed when suddenly my eyes caught the system requirement for the PES 2008. i believe now a days the gaming companies has been making unnessary gaming requirements for PC which involves in having powerful processors (Pentium Core Extreme, etc ) and having AGP to more than 256MB.
but for the last decade or so the most stunning sensible games has been released by both Cricket & FIFA coz they dont need very high defination hardware for the customers to play and also the graphics has been breath-taking and favored by ppl all over the world, but esp Asians and Middle-East and also Europeans…
so i guess Football shudnt be made or released in the markets to gain only money or to become commercial but they should also think in average to those ppl who mostly can afford to.
my suggestions would be like this format :
Pentium 3 or 4 or higher
Ram – 512 Minimum or higher
AGP – 64MB and for best performance 128MB
HDD Space – Between 3-5 GB
WHAT ABOUT OTHER CHIPSETS, IS IT ONLY NVIDIA

My PC requirement is this …..1gb ram fx5500 256 graphics card. processor 2.26ghz…..but Pes 08 is running in low detail in my PC .Please give me the Answer…:S
