How to put a picture as a caption of other picture (make picture captions on MySpace)?
Question:
I have created an album on my MySpace profile and populated it with some cute photos. Now I would like to use an image (instead of some text) as a caption of the album’s pictures. Is it possible? if so, how?
Answer:
Yes it’s possible. I suggest you follow this procedure:
- Upload the picture you would like to use as a caption to an Image Hosting Service such as Photobucket or FlickR (see steps 1-3 in the following how-to). Don’t forget to grab the URL of that picture, as provided by your Image Hosting Service.
- Login to MySpace.com.
- Navigate to your MySpace profile and click Add/Edit Photos.
- Navigate to you album (I assumed that you already populated it with your photos. Click the View button next to your album.
- Find the photo you would like to modify the caption for and click Edit Image.
- In the caption box, type the following HTML code for MySpace: <img src=”http://photobucket.com/gili/picture012334455″> Replace the URL http://photobucket.com/gili/picture012334455 with the URL you grabbed in step 1, and don’t remove the “http://” prefix nor forget the quotation marks (All people that contacted me with mistakes to date had their URLs wrong).
- Click Save.

but all of a sudden the images wont show up in my pic.caption anymore
they just show up as the code
im doing exactly as it says, and its always worked for me in the past but now when i do it the image doesnt show up, just the code and it looks like this: i dont know why it adds that backslash in after i click save because i dont put it there…
hey, i tried the picture caption thing and it just comes up as .. on the picture.

Just do in between the = and the > is where you put your photo name thingy. If you’re using photobucket then use the “direct link” code. That should work. Worked for me!
i tried the caption code.. and it has worked before on other pictures but now it doesnt work when i put the code in. all that shows up are two little dots (..) underneath the picture. wat is up with this?

I know how to set a picture as a caption, but when i view the album, the picture in the caption is cut off! how do i fix that? Help! i need somebody…
I tried it several times but it doesn’t work. I copied

nevermind i just put it in a seperate album on photobucket and it works now, thanks
same with most people above those two little periods appear and i used a shrinking website to shrink the code and i tried using different uploading sites and nothing changed. . and i even double checked which was the right link. . i did get this to work once but i couldnt figure out why its not working for another different picture. i also tried to shrink the size of the second picture by using paint.

Sometimes it works for me. And sometimes it doesn’t! Today i tried and it was a box with a red x. So I don’t understand. But then i tried it again and it worked. All you have to do is try it a few times to make it work i guess!:D

Ok so I have tried this so many times that I lost count.
All I get when I click save is she same code I put in. no picture. Why is it doing this and how do I fix it?

u also can go to tinypic.com and click on an icon that u want(u can add pics and icons too) and while ur on the page after u click ur picture. then u click share on myspace. scroll down to the very bottom then. and u can either choose the full sized avatar, or the icon(a small version).
Every time I get the HTML code, it comes up as a link. Not the picture.

It’s just now it won’t let me edit my caption! It shows the top of my picture when I click “edit caption” or whatever.
