Pro evolution Soccer 2008 Demo is available for download!

Konami, makers of Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), announced the availability of the much anticipated PC demo of PES 2008.
Demo weights 1.1 GB, and can be downloaded from gamershell.com.
Download time depends on your Internet connection speeds but expect it to take over an hour.

Konami also published the Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 minimum system requirements. These differ from recommended PES 2008 system requirements that i published i while ago. Here they are:

Minimum Pro Evolution Soccer 7 (2008) system requirements:
OS: Windows XP
Processor: Intel Pentium IV 1.4GHz or equivalent processor
RAM: 512 MB RAM
Disk Space: 4.0GB free hard disk space
4x DVD-ROM Drive
Video Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible video card. 64MB Pixel Shader 1.1 (NVIDIA GeForce 3 or
ATI Radeon 8500 video card or better)
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Others: DirectX 9.0c or higher (included on Disc)
Multiplayer: TCP/IP 192 kbps or higher
Windows compatible keyboard
640 x 480 monitor resolution

Looks like some people are having issues when installing PES 2008. I will look into this later on today, however my wild guess is that the root cause of those issues is the fact that they try to run PES on PCs with video cards which are not DirectX 9.0c compatible.

Enjoy!

well my friends I got a problem
    really really serious..my video card is a 128 mb geforce 4ti 4800se.
I know that konami says that my card is supported. But only for the low quality!!The problem is that the demo doesnot allow me to change even to medium quality!!!but it does allow me to change resolution as much as I like!!!Do u think thats fair?I dont even have the chance to try..

Wow I agree, that’s ridiculous. You think that they would make the demo more accessible, but I guess they’re just interested in making it look as good as possible, so the people who are reviewing the demo will write good reviews on its graphics quality..

  14. [...] I hope that my next statement won’t be too controversial but, although I like FIFA 08, i think that Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2008 is the best sports video game of the year. I believe that PES is far better as far as gameplay and graphical effects are concerned. PES 2008 hasn’t been released yet (it will hit the shelves around Europe on October 26th), but you can grab its beautiful demo from here. [...]

Matt, those system specs should be fine, the game runs fine on my Quad Extreme QX9750 OC-ed @ 3.4Ghz, 4GB CAS4, SLi 8800GT and dual Samsung Syncmaster 305T 30″.

The only problem I got is making it work on both monitors.

how to play PES with two computer (network)

  17. Andy says:

this game requires much more than the minimun system requirements, i have a piv 2.8 533fsb 1gb ram nvidia geforce 5500 256mb, and only runs on low quality and graphics are not good at all, so maybe i need a better video card and my pc specs are twice the minimum, so if your thinking on purchase this game you better make sure that your pc can handle it.
