Loading a vide file to Orkut is quite simple.

First you need to upload your video to Google Video or YouTube. Both accept a wide range of video formats such as AVI, MPEG, Quicktime, Real and Windows Media Player. If your file size is more than 100MB, all you need to upload it using desktop uploader, which you need to install in your system. Otherwise, you may simply use web based uploader for uploading your video file. Once you upload using either of these two systems, you may click on the videos section of your Orkut  profile.

As soon as you finish uploading the video to either Google Video and YouTube, you may copy and paste the video link to the video URL text field in your own Orkut profile. The videos shown in your profile are not actually uploaded to Orkut, but stored over on Google Video or YouTube, and played via Orkut.
