Orkut is an open social networking community which, in practice, lacks the ability to restrict or hide viewing any ones scrap, except putting the targeted individual into ignored area. Even if you put someone into ignored list, you can?t restrict him viewing your scrap. Anyone can write in your scrap book. The only way available for restricting someone to send you scrap is to put him in your ignored area. To put someone in the ignored area, you need to do the following:
- Click on the profile you want to ignore.
- Put your mouse on the more link. It is a hover button.
- Now click on the ignore button.
If you think that you need to free someone from your ignored area, that is, you wish to receive scrap from someone who is in your ignored area, you need to delete his entry from ignore list. For that, you need to do the following:
- Click on the lists button in the sidebar after you login your account.
- Now give ignore list tab.
- You can see list of profiles that you have ignored already.
- Click on the corresponding delete button to make him free to send you scrap once again.
