This might be one of the best years PC gamers ever had. After the release of masterpieces BioShock, World in Conflict and the upcoming release of Clive Barker’s Jericho, we were informed that Gear of Wars, the highly successful third person shooter made by Epic, will be released on November 6th on our beloved PC platform.
Gears of War is a Games for Windows title. Therefore, although the Gears of War official system requirements haven’t been published yet, I feel we can provide a good estimate based on the BioShock system requirements.
Here’s my estimation for the minimum system requirements, which i will be updating once official word will be available:
- CPU – Pentium 4 2.4GHz Single
- RAM - 1GB
- Video Card – Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 128MB RAM (NVIDIA 6600 or better/ATI X1300 or better, excluding ATI X1550).
- 5-6 GB free Hard disk space
Sound Card – 100% direct X 9.0c compatible sound card
Don’t forget that as we approach November, you’ll be able to ensure that your PC can run Gears of War by using the gaming system requirements test utility.

No rachit it definitely wont run smooth on your system. Please get 2GB of RAM minimum and atleast a ATI HD2900 or Geforce GTS 8800, If you want to game, dont try to go low on the GFX and expect to play games. Atleast get a HD 3870 ATI if budgets a problem.
Never follow Minimum requirements. They always mean the game runs with those requirements in a barely playable and irritating way.
Look at the minimum requirements to have an idea by how much you need to boost your system up above the specified minimum.

Will Gears of War run on my Computer?
I have:
Athlon X2 +3800 2.0 gig
2x 1gig ddr2 800
Palit Geforce 8800gt Sonic
200 Seagate Barracuda
HEC Winpower 550watts
I’ve played Crysis, Jericho, Medal Assault Airborne, Call of Duty 4 (all maxed out) etc… they ALMOST have the same graphics intensive interface.. so if you have these specs, they GOW WILL run perfectly.
You friggin lo-techs. My kid is running Gears of war on high right now on his ASUS I built for him. He has 1 GB of DDR RAM,
a 2.5 Ghz. intel pentium 4, and a crappy Nvidia ” all nvidia’s are crappy BTW” GeForce FX 5500 with only 256 Mbs of on board RAM. Learn how to push your systems past their limit and you’ll save a crap load of cash. Educate yourself. I’d tell you what I’m running on my Foxconn Black Ops, but you probably wouldn’t get it. YES, You can run it on that dual core system.
my system is pentium D 2.8Mhz, 2Gb ram. and Graphic card 512mb DDR2 (sapphire HD 3450 ATi radoen ). can i play in gears of war in my pc. please help me .
