Answer:
Well, you got me David. Setting up an internet radio station is one of those projects i tend to postpone to less hectic times but never seem to start executing.
Basically you have two main ways to broadcast an internet radio show: you either go for turnkey solutions such as Live365.com or ShoutCast, or you can broadcast from your PC. If you are on a budget, or are really into the entire thing, i would recommend you to go for the second option. In the past i explored a few applications that should allow you to broadcast from your PC. Note that all of them require broadband connectivity:
A topic often overlooked by internet radio amateurs is copyrights infringement. Please mind copyrights when selecting the music and other content you’ll play in your Internet radio station and only broadcast legal stuff.
