While using twitter you must have come across the hash tag. Hash tag is nothing but when you see something in a tweet with a # prefix. That’s why it’s called Hash Tag.
The purpose of the hash tag is to search for tweets based on common subject. When you use hash tag along with the search key words; you will get the most relevant results.
The hash tag is specially useful when you have put a tweet without putting some specific key word, but the search will still produce the results displaying your contents. Hash Tag is more concerned about the tweets but the flip side is that it ignores the text.
In short, hash tags allow you to make group of people looking for the same subject or topic by making it more convenient to find ad share the relevant information.
