How to hide Farmville notifications and status updates on facebook news feed?

Easily remove Farmville (or other games) posts from your Facebook live feed!

Lately, while going through my Facebook news feed i have noted that my feed page is packed with updates and notifications coming from Farmville. This is annoying to say the least, how can i get rid of Farmville messages?

Well, thanks for bringing up this point Lori. I have also noticed that many of my acquaintances are being fairly active on Farmville, Cafe World, Petville, Pet Society, Fishville, Mafia Wars and other games on Facebook. By using the easy steps outlined below i have been able to hide updates from Farmville and other games and de-cluttering my news feed, allowing me to focus on following up with my friends "real life" updates.

• In your Facebook  news feed, hover on the notification you got from your friend that is playing Farmville or other Facebook game.
• In the upper right hand side of your notification you'll notice the Hide button .
• Once you hit the Hide button, you'll be prompted whether you want to either hide Farmville (or other game) from your news feed or hide all updates from the person itself.

A few readers have asked me whether hiding someone, a game or application from the news feed triggers a notification to the relevant friend/s. The answer is negative, so no reason to be concerned about burning bridges when hiding a notification on the news feed.
