Dennis asks: Working on a brand new MySpace web profile. I am after some instructions on how to add music to MySpace. Thanks in advance!

Answer:

Thanks for the question. Many MySpacers give their profile a personal touch by adding their favorite songs to it. In the apst i wrote two simple tutorials that will allow you to add music to MySpace:

MySpace music codes tutorial. This one is great if you are looking to add a single song to MySpace.

Play multiple songs on MySpace tutorial. This one is ideal if you are looking into integrating a custom play list into MySpace.

Here’s one from Meghan: I want to be able to hide MySpace friends section, so no one of my Top 8 will be displayed on my MySpace profile. Can you help with some standard HTML codes?

Answer:

You can hide MySpace friends quite easily using some code. Please grab the following CSS code from the widget box below (by hitting the Copy button) and post it into the About Me section on your MySpace profile web page:

This code will hide your MySpace friends space. The code above works on Internet Explorer and Firefox.

CSS Code to hide only comments on MySpace

Question:
Brenda from Ontario asks: I am working on a brand new MySpace profile. How can i hide the comments on MySpace? Can you help me to remove comments??

Answer:

Sure. Hiding your comments section on your MySpace profile web page is pretty straightforward. All you need to do is to grab the following CSS code from the widget below (by clicking the “Copy” button) and then post it into your About Me section:

Alternatively, you can copy and paste the following CSS code on the About Me section of your Copy web page. Here’s the code (tested on Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox):

You might want also to look into the tutorial on how to hide only some comments on MySpace and on how to put MySpace comments in a scroll box.

Update: A few readers approach me about replacing the comment box (after hiding it using the CSS codes provided above) with a custom one. If you would like to customize your comments box, i suggest you’ll try our Comment Box generator. It’s eaaasy!

CSS code that allows you to put only your MySpace comments in a scroll box section

Question:

Here’s one from Steph, Dorothy and other readers: I already know that i can put my friends and comments shown on my MySpace profile web site in a scrollbox. BUT, I would like to know whether i can put only my MySpace web page comments in a scroll box. If so, how can this be accomplished?

Answer:

Interesting question. The answer is yes and no. Simply put, you’ll need to first Hide your MySpace friends section and grab the required codes from the following widget (by clicking the Copy button, and then posting the code into your I’d like to meet section) in order to make your comments section scrollable in a scrolling box:

Alternatively, you can implement this tweak manually:

Copy the following CSS code and paste it into the I’d Like to Meet section:

Click Preview Profile, and if satisfied hit Save All Changes.

Another possible solution (which require a deeper HTML and CSS coding knowledge) is to create a custom friend list so you can still be able to show off your friends and then implement the scrolled comment list. The caveat to this approach is the fact that this will require (a) lots of HTML coding to implement and (b) lots of maintenance (for example if you would like to add a new friend to the list.

CSS code to move up the About Me table in your MySpace web profile.

Question:

Here’s one from Kayla: I want to customize my MySpace profile. Is it possible to move the About Me section up on MySpace?

Answer:

Yes, moving the About Me section a bit higher on MySpace is definitely possible and quite easy to achieve. The procedure is two fold – first you need to hide your Extended Network Banner as well as the Latest Blog Entry, and then move the Blurbs section a bit higher. Use the following custom CSS code in order to make it work:

First, implement the instructions for hiding the extended network banner.

Now grab the following custom MySpace CSS code from the widget box below (by clicking the Copy button) and post it in your About Me section:

Alternatively, you can follow this process (less recommended):

Copy the following code:

====================================================

====================================================

Login to your MySpace profile and click the Edit Profile link.

Paste the code you just grabbed and paste it in the About Me section as well.

Click Preview Profile to check your profile.

If satisfied, click Save all changes.

Enjoy!

Question:

Here’s a question from Steve and other readers: I am currently customizing a brand new MySpace profile. I want to hide Blurbs (About Me and Who i’d like to Meet) completely. Is that hiding blurbs thing possible and easy to achieve?

Answer:

Thanks for your question. If you are using the new MySpace 2.0 layout and want to hide blurbs, go to this post, otherwise, implement the codes i specified in this answer. You can hide the About Me and I’d like to Meet sections of your MySpace web page. This is done using some custom MySpace CSS code i made available for you.

Please go ahead and grab the required CSS code from the following widget (by clicking the Copy button) and post it to your About Me section, that will allow you to hide or remove your blurbs on MySpace:

Alternatively, you can follow this procedure for getting rid of the About Me and Meet sections:

Copy the following CSS code:

Login to your MySpace profile and click the Edit Profile link.

Paste the code you just grabbed and paste it in the About Me section. This MySpace codes have been tested for accuracy on Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox

Click Preview Profile to check your profile.

If satisfied, click Save all changes.
