Thanks for your question, Aries. Sure, Adding a video to MySpace sections is pretty easy. You can actually upload videos to almost all sections to your MySpace profile (also in version 2.0), such as blurbs, details, interests, friends space and comments. Long a go i wrote an easy tutorial about how to upload a YouTube video to your MySpace without using HTML or CSS codes. Here is the tutorial.

Forgot MySpace password, now what?

Celia asks: Hey what’s up guys? I don’t seem to find my MySpace password anywhere. Any suggestions?

Answer:

Thanks for your question, Celia. Here’s how we recommend to retrieve your MySpace password:

1) Click on the “Log In” link located at the top left part of the profile page.
2) Click on the link “Forgot your password?” located in the right margin just below the login link.
3) Key in your Mail-Id as specified in your MySpace account and click on the link “Find”.
4) Wait for a mail from MySpace, which would give your old password.
If you don’t receive a mail from MySpace then check your spam mail, and if this doesn’t work then your last resort would be to contact the MySpace team and work together with them to resolve this issue. Good luck anyway.

Hiding your birth day on MySpace

Linda asks: I would like to hide my birthday on MySpace. Any clue on how to do that?

Answer:

Thanks for your question, Linda. Your birth date is very important information thus you might want to keep it private. Here’s how to hide your birthday on MySpace in four simple steps:

1) Click on the link “My Account” which is located on the upper right part of the page.
2) Click on the link “Privacy” that is present on the upper part of the page.
3) Under the check box next to birthday just uncheck this option. This will hide your birthday and will, block it from being displayed on your MySpace profile.
4) Once you are through click on the “Save changes” link that is located at the bottom part of your profile page and you’re sorted.

Switching back to MySpace 1.0

Question:

Dario asks: What’s up? I own a 2.0 MySpace profile, and i am not too satisfied. Can i switch to my older MySpace 1.0 layout?

Answer:

Thanks for your question, Dario. MySpace still allows you to go back to your old MySpace version. This is how you switch to MySpace 1.0 (although personally speaking i prefer MySpace 2.0 as it is more flexible and requires less CSS codes to mod):

1. Log into your MySpace account
2. You will find a link called “Profile” at the top of your profile page and then click “Customize Profile”.
3. In version 2.0 you would see the customize profile link on the top left part of the page. You would also find the “Go back” link on the top right part of your profile page.
4. Click on the link called “Go Back” and choose the option “Switch to Profile 1.0″
5. Click on the confirm link and voi’la, you are on MySpace 1.0.

All you’ll need to do is to select the song which you like the most and add tit to your MySpace. Here is a small tutorial for you, which will help you to add songs to your profile:

1. After you log in to your MySpace profile you have to click the “Edit Profile” link which is in the edit box. After this you have to find the song which you have to add in your profile.
2. This can be done by the search box which is found on the top of the page. Now you have to just search the song and click the “Add” link.
3. That’s it. Enjoy MySpace

How to replace your MySpace layouts

Thanks for your question, Avaya. Assuming that you are trying to change a MySpace layout in version 1.0, you might need to grab the HTML and CSS code and apply it into your About Me section. Thanks for your question, Angel. From your question, i deduce that you have already implement CSS code in your profile. Assuming you are on MySpace 1.0 (and didn’t upgrade so far), i suggest that you’ll review your About Me box contents for the CSS code that removed your Interests and details. I would like to suggest that you visit my tutorials on hiding interests on MySpace and get familiar with the code you’ll need to remove from your About Me section. You might also want to post your code as a comment, and we’ll be able to take a look.

Removing friends from your MySpace profile

Thanks for your question, Sherman. I was amazed to discover that i didn’t write an how to on this so far. From time to time you might need to remove friends from your MySpace profile. Doing that is quite easy, please follow these instructions (these are applicable for MySpace 2.0, but if i remember correctly, process was pretty similar on MySpace 1.0):

1. Login to MySpace
2. Under Friends, Select My Friends
3. You’ll now see a list with your friends. Click the Edit Friends button
4. Select the people you would like to remove from your friends list and hit Delete Selected Friends
5. That’s it.
