One of the things you should do while visiting a European city is to either attend a rock concert or go to watch a great football match. Unfortunately, discounted tickets for such attractive events are usually hard to get. Here’s where Viagogo, an online Sport and Concert tickets marketplace can become extremely helpful.

Viagogo connects sellers seeking to unload tickets they bought with buyers seeking for discounted tickets for the hottest sport and music events in Europe, as well as theatre shows and other Art events . Be aware to the fact that the website charges a 15% commission from sellers as well as a 10% commission from buyers.

Viagogo lists tickets for multiple rock concerts, the hottest one being the Led Zeppelin re-forming, announced earlier this month. The legendary band will be performing in London on November 26th, and although there are still no available concert tickets for the event , you can easily sign up for and be notified once tickets become available.

Soccer fans among A Virtual Exit readers, will find the sports Tickets section quite attractive, as it offers tickets for Chelsea FC, Manchester United and other leading team from the British Barclays Premiership. So next time you plan to visit London or other European city, make sure you stop by Viagogo.co.uk and check them up. Maybe, they have a deal out there, that you simple don’t want to miss.

Are you bored from your plain Google search homepage? If so, you might want to look into Groovle, a brand new custom search service based on Google, which allows you to easily upgrade your standard Google.com page look and feel and still maintain its entire functionality.

Groovle allows you to build two types of custom and extra cool Google.com custom search pages, which you can later easily keep as your browser homepage:

A custom made homepage, displaying celebrities, sports and nature related images.

A self made homepage, which you can easily create by uploading an image file to Groovle’s image hosting servers and having it displayed as your homepage’s background.

My take on Groovle

I gave Groovle a quick test and was surprised from its ease of use. I had a custom web page featuring Angelina Jolie running in seconds, apparently, i wasn’t satisfied, and decided to change it to the lovely Cameron Diaz. Take a look:

The self made home page is also easy to build, although I missed the ability to manually resize the picture i uploaded as I saw fit.

Overall, Groovle looks quite good, although it will be interesting to see whether they will incorporate a few essential widgets such as RSS feeds, Clocks, stock info etc’ to their custom search page.

Finding a good coupon is not always easy, but here is where you can give the Deal Locker blog a try. They offered a comprehensive list of free printable coupons you can use when shopping online. If you find a nice coupon that might benefit others, you are more than welcome to add it to the coupons list.
Who doesn’t want a professional design for his website or blog? Granted, you can run a fairly successful blog or website with a pretty basic design, however it’s clear that professionally crafted and unique (or at least not widely used) website templates and logos help to build to differentiate your website from millions of potential competitors out there.

Here’s where YahooTemplates dot com can help. They offer web design templates from many kinds including but not limited to Wordpress, Flash, Business and e-Commerce templates. If you are looking into customizing a web template, you might want to try YahooTemplates dot com template customization services.

Prices over at YahooTemplates dot com are definitely fair (major credit cards are accepted) , but if you are short in funds, you might want to look also into the free templates section, which features a few nice templates. I also spotted a free clipart library that you can download and use over at your website.

An Affiliate Opportunity

If you run a webmaster oriented website or blog, you might want to check YahooTemplates dot com’s affiliate opportunity. Being an affiliate of MyTemplateStorage.com, they understand the business, and thus they offer you a potentially lucrative affiliate program, that pays 20% for your referrals.

A young website – some customization is required

YahooTemplates dot com is a young website that still needs a bit of customization: FAQ, Terms of Use and Contact pages content and layout are not completed to date.

Final Thoughts

A useful resource for website and blog owners looking to enhance their websites look and feel for a moderate price.

I have been to London 3 times, and plan to come back during December (to watch some fine football). London is a vibrant city that offers some great sightseeing as well as world class dining and entertainment.

Here’s a few recommended things you can do while in London:

Go to a show (or at least watch a movie..) in the Theatre district

Go to a football match. Some of the finest football teams on earth are based in London (Chelsea FC, Arsenal, Tottenham Spurs and West Ham to name a few), so with some luck, you might be able to find tickets for some interesting matches.

Hang out, have a beer and watch the people over in Covent Garden.

Attend a rock concert in Hyde Park.

Do some shopping over at Camden Lock market and its satellites.

Accommodation is usually quite expensive in London. Finding a reasonable priced hotel within walking distance or with easy accessibility (by tube – London’s underground ) to the theatre district, the Soho and Covent Garden can turn to be quite a difficult task. Here’s where EasyHotel.com can help you out. They offer an easy-to-use web site that lists some of the best cheap hotels in London. They also offer some sightseeing tours, which you might want to check out (but only it that’s your fist time in London).

So, enjoy London, and don’t forget to post your comments while you are back

Files and folder backups can be a time consuming activity. Backup Platinum, a backup utility i review today, makes them simpler and faster.

We all keep valuable digital data in our computers hard drives. We don’t only keep our business or private files and email, but also other data items with a deep sentimental value such as pictures, movies etc’. In order to prevent any data loss, you should perform periodic backups of your most important files and folders. into a portable USB drive, a DVD, an online data storage or other server or computer in your network.

Backup Platinum is a tool you can definitely use for managing you backup activities. It allows you to backup to DVD, to a network folder or to an FTP location. It has a nice set of features that add value to those offered by the somewhat counter intuitive Windows backup utility like:

1. The ability to automatically compress your backup files.
2. The ability to encrypt your backup files using bluefish.
3. The ability to burn your backup files to a CD or DVD.
4. The ability to synchronize your backups, so you can perform speedy incremental backups.
5. A powerful and intuitive scheduler that allows you to orchestrate your backups and make sure you keep them up to date.
6. An intuitive user interface, that will help you to get started in minutes.

After giving Backup Platinum a test drive, i found all features except the backup to a network location working satisfactorily. After researching it a bit, i found that the problem with the network location was caused due to a disk space shortage issue. I did some clean up over the network folder and re-started the backup job which ended successfully.

Backup Platinum runs on Windows, and can be purchased for 67$ a piece (discounts are available for larger quantities).

Review of Data Recovery Services, a service aimed to "rescue" data from a crashed hard drive.

We all store valuable digital data in our computers hard disks. We don’t only keep our business or school data and mail, but also other data items with a deep sentimental value such as pictures, video clips etc’. That’s why i always encourage you to perform periodic backups of your hard disk into a portable USB drive, a DVD disk, and online data storage or other server or computer.

But what if your hard disk crashed for whatever reason and you don’t have a backup? You can then try to restore it by using a data recovery utility. From previous experience, i can tell that these utilities are a bit pricey and often do not work, so if the data on your disk is valuable to you, you might want to send your disk out to a data recovery specialist. My American readers will be happy to know that Data Recovery Services, a company offering hard drive data recovery as well as raid data recovery solutions, might become extremely helpful in this case.

Hard disk recovery can be a pretty costly gig, so you better have Data Recovery Services assess your hard drive situation, and then consider whether to proceed with the full recovery. The company commits to do that assessment free of charge, and do not execute any recovery without your explicit permission.

Data Recovery Services operates from labs located at Dallas, Houston and DC, so if you live in those metro areas, and you are in the midst of a hard drive crash or failure situation, you are welcome to request a service quote.

* This is a sponsored review.

Mobile phones are slowly becoming much more than communication devices. With designer brands like D&G and PRADA entering the mobile phone arena, are we about to witness the birth of the mobile phone as a fashion accessory?

The writing has been on the cards for a while. Vertu already cater for the super rich with their exclusive diamond encrusted, gold plated handsets. Now the designer brands are getting in on the act with more affordable handsets. You can see the various LG prada contract deals through this link.

If designer handsets aren’t your thing, but gadgets are, then Nokia are producing some rather special handsets. The Nokia N95 comes equipped with a 5.5 megapixel camera, satellite navigation, mp3 player and digital radio. All this technology doesn’t come cheap though, with the handset only price hovering around the £499 mark in the UK. It is possible to get the Nokia 95 on contract for free, but you will need a contract with lots of inclusive texts and minutes per month.

If you are looking to change your contract mobile phone, then why not visit Best Mobile Contracts? They compare the mobile phone market in seconds, ensuring you get the best possible deal.

When I have a doubt or would like to make some in-depth research on a topic, I normally point my browser to a forum. The problem with many forums is their lack of focus, which potentially brings more traffic, but tends to attract less knowledgeable subject experts. That’s exactly why I like Java Forums, the website I will be reviewing today.

Java programming is relatively tough to master, as (1) it’s capable to run on multiple operating systems and (2) it spans a plethora of related technologies (J2EE, J2SE, Servlets, Beans etc’). That’s exactly why you need a good forum with people capable to help you out when you encounter those weird undocumented bugs that hurt your productivity or you just want to enrich your knowledge before starting your next project.

Although the Java forums is a relatively new gig, its operators seem to understand the importance of staying focused on one main topic. All forum sections exclusively target Java and its related technologies. I especially liked the busy New to Java forum, in which new programmers can have their questions answered by seasoned professionals, and the Java Enterprise Edition section that features more advanced issues. Registration is free and mandatory for posting in the forums.
